Ancient Maori people named Paua shell as ”The gift of the God of the sea.” due to its striking blues, greens and fiery flashes and the iridescent patterns that change as they catch the light. It is the most sought-after amongst the varieties of Abalone, making each piece of jewellery unique.

Tide Jewellery Paua shell is sustainably sourced as a by-product from the farmed fishing industry of New Zealand and is never dredged or free fished. This jewellery is tested against European Regulations and the plated, or stainless-steel components, are Hypo-allergenic.

According to Maori practice, giving beautiful Paua shell is considered extremely lucky and is believed to bring sensitivity, harmony, prosperity, and peace to the wearer.

Free Postage and Packaging

All pendants, earrings, brooches and bracelets are made from a zinc alloy base with rhodium plating. Earring hooks and 18” chains are a brass base with rhodium plating. Earring stud posts and 16”/18”/20” adjustable chains are stainless steel. All items are compliant with EU REACH regulations on nickel, cadmium and lead content. All items are therefore considered hypoallergenic

All items are sent Royal Mail and will be combined in as few parcels as possible.

Refund policy

All of our products are for sale on other platforms, in the unlikely event that another order occurs at the same time we will contact you and arrange a refund or alternative item. All lampshades are handmade by us to order and are checked rigorously before dispatch, therefore we do not accept returns on lampshades unless they are faulty, but please contact us if there is a problem. Any returns must be notified within 14 days and returned to us in their original condition within 14 calendar days from the date of notification. All refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt and inspection of items. You, the customer, are responsible for the return postage costs unless the item is faulty and agreed in advance In the event of a return where initial postage costs have been paid we will refund basic postage costs only.
