Hedgerows offer an imperative wildlife corridor for Deer, Birds, Foxes, Badgers and many other mammals as well as protecting livestock, absorbing carbon dioxide and offering valuable protection against flooding.

Hedgerow planting often gets overlooked by tree planting schemes, but The Countryside Store believes they have just as much, if not more to offer within our countryside’s landscapes.

Let’s bring them back.

As a supporter, you will be sponsoring a sapling that will be planted by us at The Countryside Store. You will receive the coordinates of the sapling’s location, the species planted and a supporter’s pack detailing the import work carried out by planting schemes and wildlife conservation. You will also receive a ‘Plant a pencil’! when you finish with the pencils you simply plant them in soil and watch them grow.

As a supporter, you will also receive a Countryside Store 2022 Calendar filled with inspirational countryside photographs.

The Countryside Store plants a variety of mixed, native saplings with a bamboo cane & a spiral guard to reduce the risk of damage by pest species.

All saplings are purchased from growers within the UK and planted in a variety of locations.
