Abature

Description

This is a small froe with fitted handle, designed for hand splitting of laths for chairmaking work.

The blade is machined from gauge plate (ground and polished tool steel, 8mm x 38mm stock) and is about 6″ / 15cm long. The handle is polished beech.

With proper use this should last a generation but if there are any significant problems with it then I will refund or replace at my discretion.

Note that the exact measurements of the froe may vary slightly from time to time as one batch sells out and the next batch gets made.
